Creating a Works Cited Page in a Google Doc:
 

  1. For databases: copy/paste into Google Doc (make sure you've selected MLA first)
  2. For anything other than a database: 
    1. Tools > Citations
    2. Make sure Citation Style is MLA 8th
    3. Click +Add Citation Source
    4. Select source type (example: "Website")
    5. Copy/paste URL & click "Search" then "Continue"
    6. Fill in any missing, known information & click "Add Citation Source"
    7. After all sources have been added, click in document and then click "Insert Works Cited."
