The MHS Social Studies Department equips students with the skills to become civically engaged problem-solvers committed to the ideals of a democratic society. Through the study and application of all social studies disciplines, students will become lifelong learners who can collaborate and thrive in our interdependent world.  We strive to ensure students become critical thinkers, effective communicators, and responsible citizens in a global, technological society.  Our students will develop an appreciation for historical events and analyze continuity and change over time.
