Social Studies
The Social Studies Department wishes to prepare students for participation in an ever-changing world through the development of their ability to critically analyze political, economic, social and cultural issues. This course of action will foster in the student such qualities as understanding and tolerance, belief in the dignity of all mankind, reliance upon the intellect in the solving of problems, appreciation for the democratic principles that make our country great, and an awareness of the necessity of international cooperation in an ever-increasingly sophisticated world.
