The MHS Social Studies Deparment provides students with the skills to become civically-engaged problem-solvers who are committed to the ideals of a democratic society. Through the study and application of all social studies disciplines, students will become lifelong learners who are able to collaborate and thrive in our interdependent world.  We strive to ensure that students become critical thinkers, effective communicators, and responsible citizens in a global and technological society.  Our students will develop an appreciation for historical events and analyze continuity and change over time.
